The communications minister Obaidul Quader said on Friday that the infrastructure development work of Padma Multipurpose Bridge is going forward according to the plan laid out by World Bank earlier. Speaking at a resort near Mawa of Munshigonj in the morning, the minister said, with our own finance the project will be completed according to the plan of World Bank. He said that already a 30-member delegate from China reached Mawa and has started working on the project. The minister said that a company in China is working on some infrastructures of the bridge and they will be transferred to Bangladesh once the work is completed. no comment The work order for the river management will be issued by August and the river management and construction work of the bridge will move simultaneously, he said. The Padma Multipurpose Bridge, the largest ever infrastructural project in Bangladesh, will directly connect the capital Dhaka to the south-west region of the country.
