The best country to live in is not the best for patients with dental problems. Not because Norwegian dentists are inferior to their counterparts oragel in neighboring countries in the quality and expertise. It's worse with the political stakes for good dental health, which thousands of dental patients have to live with. Something special oragel deduction in tax for high dental expenses are not talking about anymore. The deduction was removed with a stroke of the pen, while the rates of reimbursement for dental treatment was increased a year ago, without a soul has marked difference in the dental bill. Norway worst
We have undertaken studies in Scandinavian social ministries and the OECD to clarify and compared oragel the political stakes in dentistry. The information is new date (April 2013) Of the three countries Norway pointing out that the country with the worst schemes. Norway is the only one not to have any public support to adult treatment. The two other countries provide reimbursement for general dentistry, albeit to varying degrees.
Denmark: All adult patients receive a reimbursement for general treatment related to diagnostics, dental fillings, rotbehandlinger, tooth extraction units and treatment of gum disease is periodontitis.
Approx. 40 percent of the cost of regular periodontics treatment covered by the state. However, there will be no refund for dentures, neither of crowns, removable or fixed dentures. There are no public reimbursement for treatment with implants. The only exception is tooth damage due to accidents, cancer treatment and Sjögren's syndrome. Special rebates are particularly health-risk oragel patient groups as a whole.
Sweden: Has Scandinavia Fawlty Towers best refund policy with a so-called "högkostnadsskydd", which represents a very valuable financial oragel safety net. The system involves a reimbursement of 50 percent of treatment costs from 3000 to 15000 million (the first 3000 patients must cover). Costs in excess of 15 000 reimbursed by the state with 85 percent. For example, this would mean that a treatment that involves the use of implants and costs NOK 100,000 will be covered by the public (6000 + 72250) = 78250 million!
Norway: In Norway oragel the adult population generally even pay all expenses for dental treatment. The exception is the special oragel health conditions such as rare medical conditions believed to be related to dental health.
Moreover, given reimbursement for dental injuries in professional services or accidents and inability to self-care. In addition, there are two forms of dentistry which oddly enough trigger reimbursement in Norway, though not at the same level as medical conditions: Braces and gum disease (periodontitis) - and the latter includes treatment of tooth loss due to the disease.
Implants, which would leave many patients with tooth loss increased quality of life, does not seem to be politically acceptable in Norway, as reimbursements for towing compared to Sweden. Politicians prefer prosthetic
Einar Berg politicians seem to think that the ancient option (prosthesis) is far preferable, with its obvious weaknesses. Patients suffering from the prosthesis is loose and sore. The use of the prosthesis can cause social anxiety and reduced self-esteem. However, poor quality of life seems to be a preferred consequence of these "other" among us, rather than the state to spend more public funds. Jumbo Space
That Norway pointing out negatively in Scandinavia are also documented in an OECD report on international oragel health (Health at a Glance 2011, pp. 131 and 141). There we find two interesting statist
